EfM

Every Monday, from 01/07/2019 to 05/21/2019, 6:30 PM - 8:00 PM

Location: St. Andrew's House, 236 South Laurel Street, Richmond, VA US 23220

Education for Ministry is a program of theological education by extension of the School of Theology of the University of the South in Sewanee.  Through individual and group study, worship, and the process of theological reflection, EfM participants move toward greater understanding of the fullness of God’s kingdom and discover opportunities for responding to their own personal call to the life of faith and service.

Within small but strong communities, EfM participants study scripture, church history, and theology over a four-year curriculum.  A strong emphasis on theological reflection allows participants to bring the Christian tradition in conversation with our culture and our individual lives.  Participants enroll for one year at a time, and there are no tests or papers.  EfM emphasizes experiential, collaborative learning among adults.

St. Andrew's EfM group forms in late summer, and meets weekly throughout the program year.
