When our public worship gatherings resume, you'll want to check out our Adult Forum. The Adult Forum is an opportunity for folks to gather together in a small group setting between services on Sunday and to explore different ways our faith may shape our daily lives. We usually meet at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew's House during the program year for a time of lively conversation and fellowship.
We tend to operate through a parishioner-led model, with a new person leading the discussion each Sunday. Starting points may include books, poetry, videos, current events, scripture, etc.
Meanwhile, keep watch for our monthly book groups. About a month ahead of time we'll announce the next month's book. As the date draws closer, we'll provide a Zoom link for the discussion. What a great way to learn and keep in touch!
During Lent, our Adult Forum studied Signs of Life, a program designed and produced by the Society of Saint John the Evangelist and Lifelong Learning at Virginia Theological Seminary. Though public worship gatherings are suspended for the time being, you can go through the series and learn from home! See the videos and download the accompanying reader, calendar, and curriculum at https://www.signsoflife.org. Or, you can explore other formation programs from the Society of Saint John the Evangelist at home by visiting their website at https://www.ssje.org.
The Adult Forum will resume meeting at 10:00 a.m. in St. Andrew's House when our public worship gatherings resume.
