Children & Youth

"train children in the right way, and when old, they will not stray."  --Proverbs 22:6

At St. Andrew's we believe that even the youngest among us are beloved members of the community.  During our regular program year, we offer a number of different formation opportunities for children in the church.

Please note that our formation for children and youth is suspended for as long as our public worship gatherings are suspended.

Godly Play

Children ages 3-10 are usually invited to gather in the Undercroft on Sundays at 11:00 a.m. for Sunday School. Drop off begins at 10:50 a.m., and children will be brought back into the church at the Peace so they can join their families for Holy Communion. We are using the Godly Play curriculum, a simple Montessori-based program that helps kids learn and respond to the stories of our faith. To see some of the stories covered in Godly Play, click here for this past year's schedule.

We provide childcare in our nursery located in the undercroft most Sundays during the later service for children not quite old enough to participate in Catechesis. Contact the main office for more information or to sign up as a volunteer.

Middle school aged youth gather in St. Andrew’s House on the first and third Sundays of every month at 10:00 a.m. The group is led by Laura Boucher and other adult volunteers.  The curriculum is designed around the young people’s questions and curiosities. The group returns to the church in time for the Peace.
