Pastoral Care
Whether someone is sick or struggling, has fear or doubt, or has reason to celebrate and rejoice, it is our intention to be present with each other in meaningful and tangible ways. We do this in a variety of ways listed below:
Prayer List
Every Sunday we pray during corporate worship for those who have requested our prayers, and this prayer list is also included in print and electronic communications to facilitate intercessory prayer throughout the week. Prayer requests can be submitted to a member of the clergy or by emailing the church office.
AGAPE MINISTRY
Through this ministry, we prepare and deliver meals to those among us who have had surgery, been hospitalized, given birth, or experienced a death in the family.
Eucharistic visitors
Our team of Eucharistic Visitors consists of Pat Bridgewater, Chuck Baur, Chris Catanzaro, Britton Trimble, Jim Evans, and, of course, our priest, Peyton. Our mission is to visit our sick and home bound parishioners. Right now, there are ten households that we visit each month, and I’m sure there will be more to come. During our visits we offer communion and conversation. We hope that when we leave, the person we just visited will be filled with the love of God and at least a little bit more connected to their St. Andrew’s family. Anyone who might be interested in perhaps joining our team is invited to talk to Pat Bridgewater, who leas our team, or Peyton.
Do you have a different need or have questions about the pastoral care offered at St. Andrew's? Please contact our Priest-in-Charge, the Rev. Peyton Williams.
