Worship With Us!
As Episcopalians, we are a church that is both ancient and (post) modern, and this is reflected in all we do at St. Andrew's. Our worship draws on prayers and practices from earliest Christian communities and is shaped in the Anglican tradition with elements that are faithfully, yet creatively re-imagined. That being said, folks of all faith backgrounds (or lack thereof) are welcome to join us for worship.
With the guidance of public health officials and in consultation with neighboring dioceses, Bishop Susan Goff has directed all churches in the Diocese of Virginia to suspend public worship gatherings. This decision was made out of an abundance of caution in an effort to help slow the spread of the coronavirus, protect the most vulnerable in our communities, and to do everything in our power to keep our healthcare system from becoming overburdened, as is happening elsewhere.
We’re taking this opportunity to experiment with ways of gathering and worshipping digitally. We will gather on Facebook Live at 10:00 a.m. on Sundays , 7:00 p.m. on Maundy Thursday, and 12:00 noon and 7:00 p.m. on Good Friday as we worship together virtually. You will be invited to not only pray along with a provided bulletin, but to engage in a time of reflection and online conversation. Join us on the St. Andrew’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/standrewsrva.
On weekdays, we're offering Noonday Prayer on our Facebook page. Join us 12:00 Noon on weekdays at www.facebook.com/standrewsrva!
