Meet Our Discernment Committee!
Sharlee Adams
Hi there! My name is Sharlee, and I have attended St. Andrew’s for 9 months, and my time here has enriched me spiritually and relationally. I love St. Andrew’s! Our loving hearts, our love for God and Her will and our diverse and accepting body are some of the many reasons I proudly attend and serve this parish. Challenging myself to seek and answer a call for a greater purpose has been a consistent theme throughout the latter portion of my life. My time here at St. Andrew’s has presented an opportunity to support the Fellowship Committee, and it ultimately led to this calling on THIS committee. I am looking forward to discerning the priest who our loving God will be calling to light so that they may lead and serve this parish.

Christine Baur-Millward
The beloved community of St. Andrew’s has been home to my family for six generations. I’m a lifelong Episcopalian who grew up in this church—first serving as an acolyte, and later taking on leadership roles that reflect my deep love for fellowship and hospitality. I served on the Vestry for four years (2021-2025) and have chaired the Fellowship Ministry for many more. Currently, I serve on the Board of Directors at St. Andrew’s School and volunteer teaching literature at a BIPOC homeschool cooperative. I homeschool our oldest daughter, and the younger two will follow soon. Together we try to live out the values of Christ with love, learning, and service. It is a joy and a responsibility to serve on the Discernment Committee as we seek a priest who will continue to nurture the grace, inclusion, and spiritual depth that make this church a true home.

Patrick and his spouse, Ally, have attended St. Andrew’s for nearly 30 years and have both served in various leadership roles. Their child, Sasha, 22, loves to swing incense, and recently joined the choir. Patrick has over 30 years of experience in nonprofit communications and leadership. Most recently he served as Senior Vice President of The Commonwealth Institute for Fiscal Analysis, a racial and social justice oriented public policy research and advocacy organization in Richmond, Va. From 1993-2000, and then from 2002-2008 he served in a variety of roles for the Diocese of Virginia including Director of Communications, Secretary of the Diocese, and Chief of Staff.

Steve Salter
Our family joined St. Andrew’s in early 1997 after visiting half a dozen churches in Richmond. The warm welcome we received, the beautiful facilities, and David May’s uplifting sermons proved an immediate match for us. We’ve never considered going elsewhere since. I served on the Vestry in the early 2000s and again from 2011 to 2013, serving as Senior Warden with Abbott Bailey in the year we launched Grace on the Hill. I took on the role of Treasurer in 2014 and served until the end of 2024. Prior to retirement in 2023 I worked for 38 years with the International Association of Better Business Bureaus. I was privileged to travel the country and a bit internationally to forward the BBB mission of building trust in the marketplace.

Viven Williams
I am an English major and Education minor at VCU discerning between two career paths. I have been at St. Andrew's since September of 2024, and have had the joy of serving on our Altar Guild and Fellowship Team. Christ worked through St. Andrew’s to reunite both me and my fiancée Andawen to Him, and I am so excited to serve the world and grow closer to Christ alongside our beautiful St. Andrew’s family for many years to come!
